Ujigami is the third album by Ujig, a project born from clinics at Umbria Jazz in Perugia in 2014, with the current line-up of Konstantin Kräutler, Edoardo Maggioni, Marco Leo and Cesare Pizzetti. It follows 8 Out Of 8 and The Necessity Of Falling and consists of nine tracks plus a bonus, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The album blends jazz, rock, fusion and progressive, with complex rhythmic structures, time changes, polyrhythms and long improvisations. Tracks include "Ehiku" (with references to Popol Vuh, Third Ear Band and Esbjörn Svensson's trio), "Mea A Pau", "Odota" (with orchestral arrangements by the Bow Tie Orchestra), "Pokemon Shock", the symphonic "Pohjoinen" and "Tano", featuring trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso.
