"Reaching Revery" is the debut album by ReFrame, a progressive rock and metal band based in Memphis, Tennessee, that describes its approach as combining the power and aggression of hard rock and metal with the sophistication of progressive rock and fusion, while retaining melodic accessibility. The project began as a studio concept, conceived as a space for like-minded musicians to write and record without the constraints of a traditional band or fixed genre; as the material developed, the group moved the project to a live setting, subsequently opening for artists including Andy Timmons, Tantric, Tony MacAlpine, Collective Soul, Doug Pinnick (King's X), Michael Angelo Batio, September Mourning, Reverend Jack and Neil Zaza. Inspired by the film "Identity," the twelve-track album tells a story of loss and redemption, following the journey toward the aspiration each person holds of becoming something greater than their starting point; the narrative is structured around a recurring "Fearless" motif that opens the record with the band's ambitions and closes it with a sense of peaceful resolution. Musically, the album combines heavy instrumentation with melodic songwriting, incorporating classical elements such as piano and orchestral arrangement alongside progressive rock techniques. The band's lineup includes Christopher Webster (vocals), Phil Berger (guitar, backing vocals), Drew McFarlane and Ed Johnson (bass), and Matt Sweatt (drums).
