"Invincible" is a solo album by Cochè Vil, a Spanish multi-instrumentalist known as the guitarist of progressive rock band Biosbardos and for his contributions to the Spanish electronic music scene, released on 18th December 2020 via Luminol Records. The album continues Cochè Vil's work within progressive rock, featuring collaborations with drummer Fernando Jaramillo and singer Leonel Silva, while Cochè Vil performs all other instrumentation himself. His approach is described as descriptive, using sound to suggest mood or imagery, an approach that has led his music to be used in soundtrack contexts. The album blends a range of influences within instrumental and song-based pieces: "Rosa non es un color" incorporates melodic phrasing reminiscent of Steve Hackett, gypsy scales, syncopated rhythm and mellotron; "Sin falta" moves into a more cinematic, science-fiction-thriller-oriented soundscape; "Ansi" presents a pastoral, suspended atmosphere; and "Nueve ondas" carries a colder, more restless character drawing a comparison to Steven Wilson's "Hand Cannot Erase." The artist has stated that his goal has been to achieve a powerful contemporary sound without losing the character of 1970s progressive rock.
