Enlightening Nights, Darkening Days is the debut album by Piedmont-born bassist and singer Davide Ronfetto, released on 27 January 2023 by Luminol Records. It follows the 2015 album Aside, which is cited in one of the two reviews. The work began in 2019 and took three years to complete. The album contains eight tracks, including "Night City Lights" (the first single, released in December 2022), "Absent", "Under The Rain", "Four Notes Of Shame", "Love Moan", "The Thin Man", "Witch" and "Hidden Glade". It is conceived as a personal, diary-like concept work on the theme of the city, night and rain. The musicians are Omar Maiorano (drums), Gabriele Tiezzi (guitar) and Elisa Montaldo (keyboards), with guests Colin Edwin (bass), Heather Findlay (vocals) and Edmondo Romano. The style is contemporary progressive rock, with guitars, Mellotron, organ, piano and vocal harmonies, and a hard rock, post-punk-like opening in "Witch".
