"Bonesaw" is the opening track of "Falls the Shadow" (2021), the album by The Arboretum, a duo comprising Keith and Chris Trim. The track opens with a pulsing synth joined by a brooding electronic groove and an ethereal vocal contribution, before an industrial-toned guitar pushes forward in the mix. Keith Trim delivers a sparse, repetitive vocal line with harmonies from guest vocalist Eva Trim, over what is described as a dense mix of post-industrial electronic rock, featuring squalling guitars and deep, rhythmic melodies — establishing from the outset the band's characteristic blend of electronic and guitar-based elements.
