"ATTI(MI)" is a single by the Milanese quartet Ujig (Konstantin Kräutler, drums; Edoardo Maggioni, keyboards; Marco Leo, guitar; Cesare Pizzetti, bass), with guest appearances by DJ and producer Marco Rigamonti and by Alessio Bertallot, who speaks a phrase from Tacitus ("Ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant"). It is conceived as the soundtrack of a contemporary story, evoking the inner state of the individual in the post-pandemic era. The piece combines guitar, digital loops, samples and played instruments, with a rhythm developed from a sample of John Cage's Fontana Mix, and mixes elements of jazz, classical music and musique concrète.
