MOVION

Movion is an instrumental trio formed in Turin in 2012. The project stems from the desire to merge synthetic atmospheres with acoustic soundscapes, crafting a sonic narrative deeply rooted in emotion and psychedelia. Their sound lies at the intersection of post-rock and experimental electronica, where delicate melodies and dreamlike textures gradually evolve into powerful, distorted climaxes, creating immersive and dynamic soundscapes.

The interplay of bass riffs, melodic lines from synths and guitar, and monolithic drum patterns shapes compositions with a cathartic and cinematic character, designed to transport listeners into an evocative journey.

Their last album, Vertice (scheduled for release in late 2024), marks the culmination of years of sonic exploration. Strengthening the duality between instruments and electronics—between technical rationality and emotional expressionVertice features audio excerpts from George Orwell, John Berger, and John Cage, touching on themes such as dystopian futures, the impact of technological development on human relationships, and the aesthetics of noise and moving images. The result is a visionary soundscape that makes Movion’s work more relevant than ever.
