The artistic partnership between composer-pianist Orazio Saracino and producer-sound engineer Alex Grasso was born in 2021, although the two have been collaborating steadily for almost two decades now. They have been joined since the second half of 2022 by lyricist and singer Flavio Paternesi, and from this fortunate encounter a surprising musical alchemy was born.
The Flussi Inversi represent, at the same time, an artistic collective that sees the collaboration with musicians of the highest level, featuring that go well with the peculiarities of the projects approached from time to time. In addition to developing their own record projects, they are also active in the field of music for soundtracks of television and film content, experimenting with languages that are also very distant geographically and temporally, including, for example, the swing song of the early postwar period or gypsy music of European matrix. Further demonstrating their great versatility and ability to be transversal.
Finally, the three boast collaborations with important artists in the Italian music panorama including: Mimmo Campanale, Giovannangelo De Gennaro, Larry Franco, Giorgio Vendola, Serena Fortebraccio, Guido Di Leone, Amedeo Ariano, Andrea Avena.
Among the first tracks composed, where progressive influences emerge most clearly, but at the same time with an almost “filmic” piano approach. Characteristic of the song (which we find, however, in many other tracks on the record, but which is particularly evident here), is distancing itself from the form of the standard Italian song, from the conventional verse-rhythm relationship.
