In 1982, he began his professional career, touring extensively in Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland. In Italy, as a sideman, he worked with artists and bands such as Skyline, Giuni Russo (1987 tour), Mariagrazia Pilato, and others, appearing several times on national television networks.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous musicians in the jazz scene, including Emanuele Cisi, Riccardo Zegna, Rosario Bonaccorso, Gianpaolo Casati, Alessio Menconi, Aldo Rindone, Paolo Barberis, Piero Cresto-Dina, Fulvio Albano, Luca Biggio, Arthur Miles, Karl Potter, Barry Vincent, Mamoù Rasta Fané, Masato Inoue, Max Carletti, and many others.
He is currently a member of the bands “Luisa Malafarina Jazz Quartet” and “Masato & Co.” He has also performed at several renowned jazz festivals, including the JVC Festival, Festival dei Due Mondi, Ravensburg Jazz Festival, Due Laghi Jazz Festival, and Rivarolo Jazz Festival.
Over the years, he has been part of numerous ensembles and projects, including Penna-Petracca Duo, Slep & the Red House, Nightshop (with U. Mari and M. Carletti), Keynote, and the PMP Trio (Penna, Mari, Petracca), with whom he performed concerts, workshops, and masterclasses throughout Italy, including in Turin, Rome, Bologna, Venice, and Florence. He was also a member of Quartetto Walkabout, led by Antonino Salerno, with whom he recorded the self-titled album for Panastudio Records, and the Joint Venture Trio with Alessandro Maiorino, resulting in the album “Nel Vento”.
In 2022, he released his first solo album, “A New World”, on Workin’ Label. In 2024, again for the same label, he released the single “Yeré Sagò”, featuring Malian singer Mamoù Rasta Fané.
Since 1989, he has taught drums and percussion at the “Giorgio Balmas” Music Institute in Rivoli. He also runs his own recording facility in Turin, Clarity Recording Studio, where he is currently completing a new solo album entitled “Histoire d’un Enfant”.
